The steam bath, commonly called the “Turkish bath”, belongs to the same ancient tradition as the purifying baths from which the sauna also descends.

When the water vapour content in an environment at a temperature of about 42 °C is higher than the quantity of water present in the epidermis, a layer of moisture forms on the skin, which brings warmth to the body. The simultaneous action of steam and controlled heat helps the blood and lymphatic circulation by dissolving toxins and facilitating their expulsion.

The dilation of the pores caused by the heat facilitates the penetration of the steam and allows the epidermis to remove impurities acquiring brightness, elasticity and softness. Practical at all ages, it is an excellent blood pressure regulator and an indispensable therapeutic and preventive tool for respiratory tract disorders.
